It's really weird that you guys did something of value.
But then again, if so many people work on even a simple animation, it cannot turn out other than good.
Of course, it's far from flawless, but I give 5 out of surprise.

StaticSkull responds:

Thanks :)
We actually tried with this :p

I feel like me doing a review of the legendary Weebl is a blasphemy. A man with no taste whatsoever reviewing a class act. But then again, leaving a mark is too tempting to refuse.

I always feared that Savlonic might be a one-hit wonder due to the "Wondering Eye" being your Smells Like Teen Spirit (minus the tv / radio airplay). You are not a one-hit wonder, but sometimes I did feel like you folks were trying too hard to be catchy. This song is definitely much superior to the previous few songs you have released. I'm glad that you gave more space for the music to speak, instead of crowding it with choruses and verses, like before. I def will check the bandcamp thing.

I don't know why I had a feeling that you were going to do a crazy 80s style guitar solo near the end of the song. Dumb thought, I know.

I also want to use it as an opportunity to ask two questions others might find interesting:
1) The first time I heard this band, I misread the name as Slavonic, I wonder what is the origin of your name?
2) Will you try to sign a deal with some proper label to at least distribute your CDs worldwide?
3) Any planned tours? :)
I do wonder how serious the band is for you folks. If Gorillaz can tour, you can too, considering that you are much more superior to them.

Well, that's it from me.

TheWeebl responds:

1: It's a mix of Savlon (a soothing cream thing) and Electronic. Soothing Electro. It wasn't meant to be serious at the time.
2: I don't think there's much point but who can say. What do big labels offer these days that bands can't do themselves is the question. It would have to be worthwhile.
3: Nothing is planned but we're doing a few gigs. We're playing at J-Con in Derby at the end of this month.

Is this a creepypasta? Please say yes.

joelcares responds:

yes

Beautiful, unique, original. I'm sorry, but I have to give you 5 as a punishment for your creativity.

enzob7 responds:

Thank you. I will gladly take that punishment. :)

Animacja ładna, choć nie wiem o co chodziło. Głos Darka nieco wkurwiający.
Nie mam konta na judupie ani szajsbuku, to nie zsubskrybuję. Mogę natomiast
trzymać kciuki i będzie musiało wam to wystarczyć.

Wariatadi responds:

ahah właściwie to jestem jeden, ale wystarczy :)

Well, I already wrote a review, did I? Maybe I should shut up? But then again, you keep producing, so maybe I should keep reviewing? Trust me, it's not an easy thing to do, as I want my reviews to mean as much as your animations do. But at the end of the day, it's just some random set of letters, trying to mean more than they do, so why does it bother me so much to put some few words on some random animation?

Well, there are still few things I didn't mention in my last review, so I can use this angle.
You call yourself "ApocalypseCartoons", and it's a very fitting name.
I wonder if it's ironic that some people lol at your cartoons, while others shed a tear.
I don't think you are nihilistic, but I do think that you enjoy challenging us, maybe a little way too much, and you wonder
"will they see something more than some cheap laughs?"
"will they be offended, or will they think?"
and
"why do I care so much? why do I keep making this cartoons? do I try to prove something to myself?"

Maybe we will care, or maybe we will not.
Well, keep doing the cartoons, and maybe I will free your soul with answer.
Or maybe I will be a villain, and keep you in cage, so you will produce even more cartoons.

Jokes asides, as much as I'm happy that people enjoy your work, I wouldn't mind seeing even more thoughtful reviews, that would be more than "lol incest, so random".
But before I will spare my soul ingredients with more helpful review, sadly, you have to grace us with more of your animated works.

I only hope I made myself clear enough.
No money, no honey, dear...

ApocalypseCartoons responds:

I very much appreciate your circumlocutious appraisal of my digital wares. And no, I'm not nihilistic anymore. Nor am I trying to challenge anyone else. Just myself. I couldn't live with myself if I just farted out easy pop parodies. Originality is a pure and holy thing these days. My moral code is my own, so I don't find most of my stuff offensive. If others do, their issues are their's to deal with. But I do hope people enjoy them. If it makes them laugh or think or smile or jizz, I don't mind which. Everyone is gonna take away something different. That's especially true of stuff that isn't easily comparable to other stuff. There's no precedent established to deal with a completely new cuntastrophe. So however people enjoy it is cool with me. But I do hope their opinions are generally favorable, as these take a lot of time and effort. As you inferred, I don't know why I keep making these. I'm not getting rich or famous. Been doing this for over a decade and I'm still way more anonymous than Anonymous. And yet, if I stop making things, I have to deal with reality, so away I go.

In an era where everyone not only post their opinions, but also thinks their opinions are superior to others, it's not hard to hate social medias. And while I dislike interacting with people online, I do feel that I should do a review for at least one of your cartoons, especially as I’m a fan of your works, for years.

And of all of your animations, I’ve found this one (along with EGOT) as my favorite.

It's rare to see an artist so dedicated to the craft of flash animation as you. It's even more surprising that you not only still produce cartoons, but you do it the same way you did 10 years ago.

Some would call it lack of progression, but I feel that for you, it's not necessarily the tools that are important, but the story, and message that you try to convey.

Your works provoke thinking, as they point out hypocrisies, criticize shallowness, and stupidity of our culture, as well as lack of any real moral values in our society. The bulimic butterflies (representing damaged beauty, but also vanity) committing an act of abortion, is a very symbolic, but telling scene. Your choice of stylizing your animations after classic cartoons shows a certain hint of dark humor, and self-awareness to some of your over-the-top ideas.

This cartoon belongs to the endangered species of pure art.

Also, I love the song. It has a very sad, haunting and beautiful melody.

ApocalypseCartoons responds:

Gosh. Thank you very much. I'm almost lost for words. I'm really happy you appreciate my silliness on such a deep level. The animation in these have to stay at a certain level of simplicity, because the scripts I write are always so damn long. By myself, animating a single episode can sometimes almost a year. But it is the writing that I enjoy most. Coming up with some crazy idea that no one has ever seen before. That's fun. Really glad you like it too. Thanks again.

Brilliant. Genius. Innovative. I rarely post a review, but I felt I would do a great injustice if I didn't praise this animation. Thank you sir.

Thattannerfellow responds:

You are beautiful
